El Paso bars providing free condoms for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day AND National Condom day on the same day! Coincidence? I think not!

Valentine’s Day is a time for couples to flaunt their love by spoiling their partner with heart-shaped chocolates but let's be honest, it's also a time for couples to show their love in other ways as well. (There could be kids around so let’s keep it PG.)

Anyways, National Condom Day is celebrated on February 14th each year to remind us that one of the easiest ways to look after your sexual health and the sexual health of your partners,*Insert mom voice here* is to use condoms! I mean, it sounds like common sense but sometimes it’s good to be reminded.

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas will be celebrating National Condom Day this year by dropping off hundreds of condoms at 15 popular nightspots across El Paso.

The initiative is an attempt at helping the city promote safer sex and to help community members protect themselves from sexually transmitted infections.

But wait. There’s MORE! Free “Empowerment Kits” will also be available Monday, February 14th at Planned Parenthood Greater Texas’ health center which is located at 1511 E. Missouri Ave. These kits will include emergency contraception, early detection pregnancy tests, and external condoms.
