Can we please get a moment of silence for all the grieving children in El Paso who will have to go to sleep early and wake up early for school. *sarcastic moment of silence*

Yup, if your child is like mine, they are dreading going back to school because that means that Summer vacation is over! As sad as I am for my son, I am not mad that I wont have to feed him every hour!

If you’re a parent, student, or teacher in the El Paso area, here’s your friendly reminder: it’s almost time to set those alarms again.

Most local school districts are kicking off the 2025–2026 school year as early as late July with some local school districts having already started school. So if you’ve been procrastinating on school supply shopping, now’s your sign to hit the clearance aisle.

• Clint ISD: leads the pack, with the first day on July 21
• San Elizario ISD: follows on July 22
• Ysleta ISD: return on July 28 
• Tornillo ISD: return on July 28
• Anthony ISD: return on July 28
• El Paso ISD, Socorro ISD, Canutillo ISD, and Fabens ISD all head back on August 4
