El Paso Animal Services Needs Foster Pet Parents – Can You Help?
A couple of months ago I lost a cat that I loved. I wrote about my sweet, feral kitty in an article that you can read here. I was never a cat person but after the trauma of losing my beloved cat I think I would love to have another. When I'm ready, I will definitely adopt, not shop. There are so many dogs and cats that need a good home that if you are looking for a pet, please go to the El Paso Animal Services Shelter.
If you're not ready to adopt a cat or dog maybe you can foster one. The Animal Services Shelter is dealing with their summer influx of animals that need a home. They are asking for your help in fostering cats and dogs that will be heading to the eastern part of the country to be adopted out. Before they go, they need fostering to clear out space in the shelter.
More than 300 pets will be part of the Animal Services first-ever mega transport. You can be a Flight Attendant Foster for a shelter pet for four-to-seven days while those cats and dogs await their rescue flight. Food, supplies, and medical care will be provided to you. If you are interested, you can go to the shelter through Friday, June 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to be matched with a pet.
You can also donate to the shelter’s lifesaving efforts if you can't be a foster pet parent right now. Animal Services needs plastic or wire airline crates of all sizes, canned and dry puppy and kitten food, and pet treats and pet toys. If you can donate, take the items to the shelter any day between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also go online to the Shelter's Amazon Wishlist by clicking here.
