Normally, the City of El Paso Animal Services shelter gets busy on the weekends with local families and individuals looking to add a new furry member to their family. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people aren't able to go and walk around the cages in person, which has caused a large number of animals to miss the opportunity o get adopted. Now, Animal Services is having a virtual adoption event to help get more pets into their forever homes. The best part? All adoptions are FREE during this event.

Potential adopters can log on to the Animal Service's website to check out the adoptable pets. From there, find at least two animals you would be interested in adopting and then call the adoption hotline at (915) 212-8705. You will then speak to an adoption counselor who will tell you more about the animal and if he or she is the right fit for your household. The adoption will then be finalized over the phone and a delivery date will be scheduled. The adoption hotline will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this event, Animal Services will be posting videos and photos of adoptable animals to their Facebook and Instagram pages. The Animal Services "Find Love Online" virtual adoption event runs from Thursday, May 28th through Saturday, May 30th.

All animals adopted through Animal Services come with the pet's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, and the city license. All adoptions conducted during the event are FREE.
