The Ysleta Independent School District replaced the turf on the football field of Eastwood High School, but sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning, that new artificial football turf was vandalized.

A large phallic image was spray-painted near the Eastwood Trooper image in the middle of the field, and a large "F" was also spray-painted near the logo. Students and a janitor were able to work together to erase the paint before a pep rally before Friday night's game.

El Paso Police have been contacted about the vandalism, and the district says because they have surveillance cameras that show the football field, they were able to get images of the perpetrators going onto the field around 1 o'clock Friday morning. They would not give details about what was caught on cameras.
