Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Seems to Shade ‘Fast 8′ Co-Star Vin Diesel on Instagram… Again
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson knows a thing or two about fighting in the ring... But outside the WWE, the semi-retired wrestling legend and movie star opts for a shadier, subtler approach to feuding. Just ask Vin Diesel!
On Saturday (August 20), the Ballers star seemingly threw a little shade Diesel's way when he shared a post on Instagram thanking the cast and crew of Fast 8, the latest installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise which he wrapped filming this month.
In the caption of a photo of himself boarding a private jet, Johnson gave shout outs to his entire Fast 8 "family" — well, mostly everyone, anyway.
"Finished strong and on to the next. That's an officially wrap on #FastAndFurious8. Thank you to our director @fgarygray for the vision and execution. Thank you UNIVERSAL for being tremendous partners as always, thank you to all my fellow co-stars for the daily effort and grind," he captioned the picture, before name-dropping specific cast members.
"Scott Eastwood you handsome sumb---h! Natalie Emmanuel I have a cold Budweiser ready for you and Tyrese Gibson you still have the biggest smile and forehead I've ever seen," Johnson joked, before finally thanking the film's "hard working production crew."
However, one high profile co-star was noticeably missing from his shout out: Diesel.
In early August, The Rock hinted at bad blood between himself and the veteran Fast and Furious star by calling an unnamed male co-star a "candy a--" in an Instagram rant.
Later, Gibson dropped a clue that the smack talk was directed towards Diesel by randomly "standing up for" the actor on his own account, writing on August 11, "I’m so f---ing proud to call you my family and my brother … if no one else will jump out there and stand up I will - You're my brother for life let's keep it positive and keep rockin this thing...... My proudest post...... #FastFamily #F8."
For now, neither Johnson nor Diesel have commented directly on the reported feud but it's clear what the two men are beefing about: Whose head looks better cleanly shaved, obviously.
