The International Museum of Art is hosting Dueling Pianos featuring El Paso’s own Billy Townes for free this weekend.

Local jazz musicians Billy Townes along with Ruben Gutierrez will be dueling pianos this Sunday afternoon at the International Museum of Art.

Billy Townes is quite popular around town – his fluid sound and jazz background has him performing at Cool Canyon Nights at McKelligon Canyon, Al Fresco Fridays and various other venues across town. Townes has released two studio albums including Alchemy and Everyday Life while Gutierrez, has been performing since the age of 2 and is known for his rich blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms and traditional American bebop.

Spend a lively Sunday afternoon by watching these talented musicians simultaneously play originals, the standards, jazz, swing, Latin, and fusion in Dueling Pianos all while improvising and having fun in between.

Attendees will also be able to tour the International Museum of Art featuring beautiful pieces and an eclectic mix of local art. For more information call 915-543-6747.
