Don’t Say You Heard It From Me But…Did You Know…Gilligan’s Island

Contrary to popular belief, in the t.v. series "Gilligan's Island", Gilligan, played by actor Bob Denver, was not his first name. Although it was never mentioned in the show, Sherwood Schwartz, the show's creator and producer, always maintained that his full name for the character was "Willy Gilligan" !!
