There are some people in El Paso who remember fishing as a child or that still fish to this day and may remember an old fishing spot. The only spot in El Paso that I remember fishing at when I was younger was at Ascarate Lake back in the day. I could never forget either since it is where I always managed to catch crabs instead of fish.

One baby crab I remember catching the first time I had named Sebastian since I was going through a Little Mermaid phase being 5 and all then. But I don't ever recall fishing anywhere else besides Ascarate Lake while in El Paso.

But apparently, some of you may remember another spot that you could fish at in El Paso besides Ascarate Lake. Some of us may have not known about Feather Lake existing if it weren't for Zroe Guerrero. He had shared about remembering Feather Lake on the local fishing group page on Facebook.

Unless that is your parents had already told you or took you there in the past. But apparently, back in the day, some people would fish at Feather Lake over at 9500 North Loop.

Feather Lake also had a wildlife sanctuary and from the comments on the Facebook post, it seemed like it was a popular hot spot back then. If you're curious about Feather Lake it's off Loop 375 and North Loop a block away from West according to Edward Senclair.

Daven Cheu's Eagle Scout Project cleared up a pathway at Feather Lake that was disastrous before. You can see just how much of the trail condition had been organized in the videos below.

If you're planning on going expecting to see water, no dice bro. Feather Lake has been dried up for years now but makes you wonder what happens during the times it floods in El Paso.
