Local Barber Shop Hosting First-Ever El Paso Generations GO Event

Pokémon GO lovers, get your phones ready because you are invited to an event that is the first of its kind for one local barbershop.

Glory Road Barber Shop is inviting kids of all ages to celebrate Día de Los Niños at their first-ever ‘El Paso Generations Go’ Pokémon GO Event.

“This is a way for our barber shop to interact with our community in a fun way,” said Alexis Aguirre, owner of Glory Road Barbershop. “It’s also a way to get the kids outside to have fun while interacting with other kids while playing Pokémon GO.”

Glory Road Barber Shop partnered with the El Paso TX Pokémon GO group and Deadbeach Brewery to bring this fun and interactive event to families and Pokémon lovers of all ages.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place in the parking lot area of the barber shop and will include over 25 local vendors and local food trucks including Boba Tea by Teapioca El Paso, Star Burgers, and Fries, and Con Amor By Bere.

Although the event is for kids of all ages, only kids over the age of 21 can enjoy some of the best beer in the state courtesy of Deadbeach Brewery.

The event will also have an exciting Pokémon Go scavenger hunt which will take participants through all 25 vendors where they will find Pokémon characters to collect.

Kids who attend the event and receive a haircut from Glory Road Barber Shop will receive free Pokégoodies. Make sure to book your appointment online in advance for a secured spot.

Other activities that will happen at this event include chalk art, coloring stations, hourly raffles, a kid's cosplay contest, and featured artwork from local artist Blanca Estrada aka Bloo.

“We are excited to have partnered with the El Paso Pokémon GO group for this event and we look forward to celebrating our generations of community,” said Aguirre.
