Catch ‘The Evil Dead’ In El Paso Theaters This Week
If there is one thing I really can't stand about the fall season and Halloween in general it's being scared by stuff. I know, I know, this is the spooky season but I am the world's biggest wuss and getting the pants scared off me isn't something I want to do. Haunted houses, scary movies or tv shows, nope, no thank you. You can keep those to yourself. For those of you who like that kind of thing, there is a movie you can't miss and it's happening this week.
CLASSIC SCARY MOVIE
On Thursday, October 7, you'll be able to catch a classic scary movie, The Evil Dead. I couldn't even begin to tell you what this movie is about but judging from its title, it's about dead people who are evil. Am I right? Did I get that right? Well, I looked it up and it was made in 1981 and it centers on five college students vacationing in an isolated cabin in a remote wooded area. Seriously? What is it about college kids and isolated cabins in remote wooded areas? Don't they know better? Wikipedia says that "After they find an audio tape that, when played, releases a legion of demons and spirits, four members of the group suffer from demonic possession, forcing the fifth member to survive an onslaught of increasingly gory mayhem."
THAT WOULD BE A NOPE FROM ME
Uh, no. I didn't read anything after the first paragraph of the Wiki article because I already don't like isolated cabins, remote wooded areas, or haunted audio tapes. I figured I would just let it go after that because you probably can figure out how that movie is going to turn out. Lots of blood and gore, lots of shots of girls screaming and people having yucky things done to them.
IF YOU WANT TO GO, WELL OK YOU WERIDO
And I say that with the utmost respect. I could never sit through a movie like that but if you want to you can click here to buy tickets online. The movie will be shown at Cielo Vista Mall, Cinemark 20 & XD at 11855 Gateway Boulevard West, and Cinemark Montana at 12700 Montana Avenue. Enjoy the movie!
