Tis the season to give back to aging adults in our community! Home Instead's "Be a Santa to a Senior" program returns for its 17th year in hopes of providing over 50 gifts to seniors in need in our community. This year, the program’s mission of spreading joy to El Paso seniors will be more important than ever as many are facing increased isolation due to COVID-19. The program ends on December 15th so you still have time to participate!

To participate, members of the community can visit one of two area tree locations up until December 15, choose an ornament and fulfill the gift request for a local senior. "Be a Santa to a Senior" trees can be found at the following locations:

  • Village Inn, 6040 N. Mesa St, El Paso 79912
  • Village Inn, 1500 Airway Blvd, El Paso 79925

Needless to say, this year, extra precautions will be taken so gifts can be safely collected and delivered to seniors in need. Holiday shoppers who choose an ornament can buy the requested gift and return it unwrapped to the location with the ornament attached.

This year, Home Instead has partnered with Adult protective services and with the generous support of the El Paso community, volunteers, as well as area businesses, nonprofit organizations and retailers, you can help bring a smile to a senior citizen this holiday season!

To learn more about this amazing program, you can visit BeaSantatoaSenior.com or call 915-584-5678. I think we can all agree that this year has been difficult for everyone, if you have the means and the opportunity, "Be a Santa to a Senior" is a great program to be part of! Remember, you have until December 15th to participate!
