Are You Offended By These “90s” Halloween Costumes?
It TRULY does not feel like the time is upon us where 90s is considered a decade that is appropriate to dress up for for Halloween - but here we are.
This woman was not only offended... but HORRIFIED when a Nokia phone showed up alongside butterfly clips, a portable cassette player, bucket hats, and a Blockbuster uniform as 90s Halloween costume options in a fancy dress shop. It got me thinking about if I would be offended by any of these up and coming 90s garb.
One thing is for sure though, I'm definitely HORRIFIED. Ok, let's start with a classic.
Head over to Party City if you want to get your CHER from Clueless on. Or, as we know it in non-copyright-infringement world...
"Get a fashion clue like you're a 90s it-girl with this dress and t-shirt combo. It features a white crewneck t-shirt that's sewn to a black slip dress."
...which I must say is a better option than the "Adult 80s Tracksuit DJ" costume. Was that a thing? To be a DJ in the 80s and wear a tracksuit?
SAME, my man. But before we get to the 6th... this costume has been making waves on social media this year. Could it be the chain wallet???
Jump on in to Amazon and it doesn't get much better...
Womens 90s Baby Girl Adult Halloween Costume
90s Hip Hop Mens Adult Halloween Costume
...and both are over $50!
It might just be me...but I feel like a plain ol' cassette tape from the 80s is much less confusing.
