Houston, we have a problem…. A GOOD PROBLEM! Apple just announced plans to build a brand-new AI server factory in Houston, TX as part of a jaw-dropping $500 billion investment in the U.S. Yep, that's a billion with a “B.”

According to an online report, The 250,000-square-foot facility will manufacture servers for Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI-powered personal assistant for iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Set to open in 2026, the factory is just one piece of Apple’s massive four-year investment plan that includes hiring 20,000 new employees nationwide. (So, if you’re into AI, software development, or silicon engineering, now might be a good time to dust off that resume and get ready to apply!)

Apple CEO Tim Cook is excited, saying the company is doubling down on American innovation. And while Apple still assembles most of its products in China, this move is likely a strategic play as tensions over U.S.-China trade policies continue to simmer.

Oh, and that’s not all. Apple is also pumping more cash into its Advanced Manufacturing Fund ($10 billion to be exact), launching a manufacturing academy in Michigan, and ramping up R&D efforts. Plus, it’s paying some serious taxes—$19 billion just in 2024!
