Adam Levine Gets Beat Up

By the looks of Adam Levine‘s face, you may think that ‘The Voice‘ co-star Christina Aguilera finally got fed up with the Maroon 5 frontman’s snarky remarks. However, his busted lip was actually just a great makeup job for his band’s new music video, ‘Payphone.’

According to E! Online, Levine sported the banged-up look while wearing glasses and a suit. The site has a photos of the singer running down the street with a stunning blonde, who is also dressed in classic business attire.

“Shot the video for #payphone today,” Levine tweeted on Thursday (April 19). “More tomorrow. This s— is truly insane. In a great way. Crazy.”

The star also posted a pic of himself on the phone and holding a mug at his on-set desk, as well as a photo of his beat-up face with the caption: “Rough morning…”

‘Payphone’ hit No. 1 on iTunes this week, so the “beating” was certainly worth it. The guys performed the Wiz Khalifa-assisted tune on ‘The Voice’ earlier this week, and launched the presale for their fourth studio album, ‘Overexposed,’ due out on June 26.
