Festival organizers for the 915 BeerFest, the free admission beer festival in downtown El Paso, are taking precautionary steps to ensure the safety and health of attendees. In the past week, several large events in the Borderland have decided to postpone or cancel their festivities due to the COVID-19 pandemic happening across the world.

95.5 KLAQ FM (Townsquare Media) and Deadbeach Brewery have made the difficult decision to postpone the original festival date of March 28, 2020 to a date in the near future that is yet to be determined. Townsquare Media El Paso's General Manager Brad Dubow released a statement addressing the postponement of the event:

“In an effort to keep the entire community’s health in mind before anything else, we have decided that it is best to postpone the festival. We hope the thousands of supporters we have previously had will save the new date once it has been determined.”
