    Chocolate is Healthy

    Technically, dark chocolate is the healthiest choice when your'e choosing to eat chocolate. It may not be the fan favorite but it does have lots of antioxidants that help the cardiovascular system by reducing blood pressure. Dark chocolate also widens arteries and promotes healthy blood flow that can prevent the buildup of plaque that can block arteries and reduces the risk of heart disease by one third. Next time you want some chocolate remember, remember these wise words.

    Can Help Fight Tooth Decay

    The same compound, called CBH, found in toothpaste and mouthwash can be found in chocolate. CBH is a white crystalline powder that helps harden tooth enamel. Sugar is what causes cavities so when you mix them, that's when the bad bacteria starts attacking. If you want to harden your teeth, you might want to start eating more chocolate.

    Anti-Depressant

    You might turn to your family and friends when you are feeling down but chocolate can also comfort you. Chocolate produces the effects of a mild anti-depressant by increasing serotonin and endorphin levels in the brain. Who needs pills when you can just munch on chocolate to make you smile!

    Chocolate Doesn't Cause Acne

    I have always heard the myth of chocolate causing acne. I would stay away from it until my cravings were to much to handle. Now I know chocolate actually helps blood flow to the skin! German researchers have found out that the flavonoids in chocolate actually help consume UV light, that ultimately help blood flow and protect the skin. I think I am going to find a way to include more chocolate in my diet!

    Can Be Used As Fake Blood

    Chocolate isn't just good for eating! As a horror nerd, I found out chocolate syrup was used for blood in the famous 45 second shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie, Psycho. This is going to be a must try for Halloween 2014!
