City Sets Date for 2019 Celebration of Lights Tree Lighting & Night-time Light Parade
The City of El Paso has set the date for the downtown Christmas tree lighting ceremony and parade.
This year’s annual festivities will take place on Nov. 23, the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Downtown El Paso and the area in and around San Jacinto Plaza will again play host to the full day of holiday entertainment that will culminate with the spectacular nighttime parade featuring numerous floats, vehicles, and walking groups all tricked out in colorful lights.
November 23 is also the date Winterfest will get underway.
From the 23rd to Sunday, January 5, 2020, downtown will become a Winter Wonderland of glimmering lights and family-friendly activities that will once again include an outdoor ice-skating rink in the Arts Festival Plaza, and free classic holiday movies at the Plaza.
