The Las Cruces Arts Fair is coming up and this year it is going to be bigger than ever.

The Arts Fair will run March 13th - 15th and this year will be featuring over 70 fiber artists from all over the United States and Canada and is being put on by the Dona Ana Arts Council. A fiber artist is a special kind of art. Fiber artists create patterned hand-woven clothing, wearable leathers, and amazing fashions that incorporate fabrics from vintage and antique kimonos. And the woven clothing is usually spectacularly done with very intricate patterns and detail.

The show will also feature colorful leather handbags and hand-painted silk accessories.  You will also find a wide variety of jewelry made with glass, gold, silver, gemstones, different kinds of woods, and much more.

If you are an artist and would like to participate in this art fair, you can. All you need to do is fill out an application. The Art Fair will be held at the Las Cruces Convention Center and show times for each day are still pending.
