Action Programs for Animals is currently attempting to raise money to keep its doors open to continue helping low income families and their pets.

The Action Programs for Animals is not only an animal shelter that rescues pets and finds new homes for them but also serves as a Pet Food Bank for the city of Las Cruces and it’s low income residents by assisting them with supplies and pet food.

The Action Programs for Animals  normally receives donations from major local stores, however there have been new mandates and they are no longer able to receive these donations and would have to close their Pet Food Bank doors unless they are able to raise enough money and/or pet food donations to remain open.

As of the time that this was written, the agency had received $2,350 in donations with their overall goal being $3,000. If you would like to make a monetary contribution you can do so through their Facebook page HERE.

If you would like to help by donating pet food you can make your donation at the Action Programs for Animals food bank located at 800 W. Picacho in Las Cruces.
