One Man in Critical Condition After Morning Shooting in Las Cruces

One man was shot and transported to a Las Cruces hospital with life threatening injuries this morning.

According to eyewitnesses and the Las Cruces Police department, two men got into a physical altercation at a carwash in Las Cruces at the 500 block of Valley Wednesday morning. According to the eyewitness -- who was working across the street at the time of the shooting -- the two men got into a physical altercation near one of the car wash stations.

After some struggle, the eyewitness heard a round of gunshots and one man was lying on the ground. The other man was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries. At this time no names have been released since the investigation is ongoing. At this time one man is in critical condition at a Las Cruces hospital.
