If you have a child with special needs or asensory processing disorder, a movie theater can be a dark and scary place. But Alamo Drafthouse wants to change all that with a special sensory friendly screening of ‘Finding Dory’.

Movie theaters across the country are beginning to realize that these special needs kids deserve to have the movie-going experience, and Alamo Drafthouse in El Paso is making that happen with one of the summer’s hottest movies.

'Finding Dory' will be shown Saturday, June 25, at 1:00 p.m. Alamo Drafthouse is located at 250 East Montecillo Blvd. on the westside. You can call 845-7469 for more information about this screening. For this Sensory Friendly screening of the film the lights will be slightly up at their pre-show level, and the sound is turned slightly down. There will be no previews or advertisements. All ages are welcome. Alamo Drafthouse's 'No talking' policy will be slightly relaxed.

Way to go Alamo Drafthouse! Hopefully this is something that can be done often for these amazing kids.
