The Rose Garden will open the season this Sunday along with free tips from the experts on Saturday.

Before the El Paso Municipal Rose Garden opens to the public on Sunday, the El Paso Master Gardeners and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free pruning demonstration for anyone interested in learning pruning techniques for hybrid tea, grandiflora, floribunda, and other rose varieties.

Information on rose care and maintenance will also be available with the demonstration from the experts from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015.

The Rose Garden is one of only 133 certified rose gardens in the United States and is home to 1,400 roses.
