Pool paw-ty time is here!

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the 2019 “Dog Day Swimming” event this Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8, at Nations Tobin Aquatic Center, 8831 Railroad Dr. in Northeast El Paso.

The annual pooch swim party gives dogs the opportunity to swim in the city pool before Nations Tobin and all the other city run outdoor pools close down until May, 2020.

For two dollars per dog, Man's Best Friend can splash around and frolic in the pool from 8 a.m. to 12 noon with other friendly water-loving dogs. (Humans get in free.)

So gather up your doggie's shot records between now and then, as you’ll need a physical copy that shows your dog is current on Rabies, Distemper and Parvo to participate. Screenshots or digital images of your doggo's shot records will not be accepted.

If you show up without a paper copy of his or her shot records, your fur baby will not be allowed in. Collar tags only won't be good enough. Dogs will not be allowed to doggy paddle or fetch that water toy with collar tags only.
