We love our troops here at KISS FM.  Their willingness to fight in faraway lands for our freedom and safety never ceases to amaze us.  But don't think they are heroes only when they're at war.  No sir!  One little boy has a hero for life, and he found him while running a race.

Marine Helps Boy Finish Race

19 year old Marine Lance Cpl. Myles Kerr was running in a 5k race when he saw 9 year old Boden Fuchs not doing so well.  Boden had gotten separated from his running group when he asked, and I can hardly type this without crying, "Sir, will you please run with me?"

Lance Cpl. Kerr was wearing a full backpack and running in boots and fatigues, and forgot about trying to do well in the race.  He stayed with Boden and helped him get back with his running group after they finally crossed the finish line.  As a matter of fact, it took so long for him and Boden to finish the race that Lance Cpl. Kerr's friends thought he had gotten hurt.

Nope.  Not hurt.  Just making sure a little boy finished the race with his hero running along side!

What a beautiful man, what a great kid...  God Bless our troops!
