Top 5 Ways To Get Your Man To Do Date Night
Date night has become a bit of a cliché, and a lot of guys say they don't like the pressure of having a scheduled night of romance. If your fella is one of these guys, here are a couple of ways to make sure he gets into the spirit of date night more often.
Guys would be happy doing a night of channel surfing with takeout Chinese food. If you want drinks, dinner, and dancing, then you're going to have to draw him a picture. And probably make all the plans!
If you plan on doing date night on a Friday night, give him, and you, time to unwind. Maybe pour him a cold beer and let him drink it while he takes a hot shower and gets ready for your big night out. Or ask him to join you on the back porch for a sunset cocktail before you head out to dinner.
If you don't want him to pull on his favorite jeans with the holes in the knees, you need let him know that you will be wearing your fave summer dress and cute sandals. He doesn't necessarily need to wear a suit and tie, but a pair of khakis and a nicely ironed shirt would do the trick.
Yes, technically, this is supposed to be your date night, but having another couple along could loosen your guy up and he'll have a better time. And you'll have someone to go to the restroom with. It's a win win.
Agree at the beginning of the date that there will be no talk about work, the kids, the bills, or anything that will make you roll your eyes and say, "I know, it's totally crap." Talk about a song you heard that reminds you of him. Talk about a vacation you would love to take with him. Talk about what you plan on doing when you guys get home, hubba hubba. If one of you starts talking about reality, agree to stop it with a kiss. Sounds silly, I know, but date night is supposed to make you remember what you guys were like before reality set in, so pucker up!
