One EPISD Superintendent spent time in prison for this scandal. Could more of the district's administrators be headed that way?

Last night, the El Paso Independant School District voted to give a 579 thousand dollar contract to an ex-Texas Education Agency official to investigate the district's cheating scandal.  This is the same guy who said last year that there was no cheating in the district.  But wait, it gets better....

Lorenzo Garcia, the former superintendant of the El Paso Independant School District, finally found out his sentence for cooking up a scheme to fix TAKS test scores so he could get bonuses, and steering an almost half million dollar contract to his girlfriend.  And he says a lot of this is his wife's fault.

For those of you who don't know why the Texas Education Agency is telling the El Paso Independant School District what to do, it's because the district's former superintendant Lorenzo Garcia cooked up a scheme to lie about TAKS test scores and cheat some kids out of not only taking the TAKS test, but an education altogether.  Ok, now that you know the background, here is the latest...

I live in the El Paso Independant School District, so I'm pretty pissed off to find out that Lorenzo Garcia funneled a 450 thousand dollar contract to his girlfriend that was in reality only worth about 150 thousand dollars.  I'm also pretty pissed off that he also screwed up countless kid's lives as well...
