San Jacinto Plaza is going to be lit this year!

After being displaced for the last several years, the Celebration of Lights returns to San Jacinto Plaza this Christmas.

The schedule is set for one of El Paso’s most celebrated holiday traditions – the annual Downtown Christmas tree lighting ceremony and parade. This year’s 80th Celebration of Lights will happen this Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. Downtown El Paso will play host to a full day of holiday entertainment beginning with a Holiday Market  at noon and culminating in the early evening with a spectacular fireworks
