If the UTEP men's basketball team will turn around their season in CUSA play, they will need much better shooting and leaders to emerge on and off the court.

It's officially UTEP men's basketball gameday, as the Miners host McMurry for their first game of the season on Monday night at 7 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center.

The UTEP men's basketball team played Texas much closer than the 72-57 final score, and it was the Miners frontcourt that impressed the most.

UTEP basketball fans who watched last year's team win 20 games will notice a few similarities but obvious differences with this group of Miners.
