An FBI study has declared New Mexico as the second dangerous state in America.

Crime stats from the FBI Crime Report placed The Land of Enchantment at No. 2 for the most dangerous states in America. New Mexico's violent crime rate went up almost 7% between 2012 and 2013. Those violent crimes included murder, rape, aggravated assault and robbery.

The northern part of the state like Albuquerque had the highest percentage of violent crimes between those years the study was taken. Among the study was also a statistic that is very true -- the more violent crimes the more poverty the state suffered from.

Out of all the 50 states, Alaska came in as the most dangerous state in America.
