Texas Ranks High for Wellness and Self-Care
Great news for those who prioritize self care, Texas has just ranked as a top destination for self care and wellness!
The self care industry is now valued at about $1.5 trillion- so it's obvious that self care isn't just a trend, it's now a priority in the lives of many Texans, and this study proves it!
Self-care and wellness has evolved; it's not just face masks and spa-days anymore, self-care is a proactive approach to maintaining balance in life, improving overall happiness, and enhancing the ability to navigate life's ups and downs.
So, where did the lone star state rank among the rest? According to Platinum Spas, Texas ranked in at number 4 in their study of the top US destinations for self-care and wellness in 2025. The results spotlight which states are leading the way in health and well-being practices, based on key factors like wellness retreats, fitness facilities, and self-care search trends.
Of Texas, Platinum Spas said the lone star state made it to number four because it is has the second-highest search volume around self-care (126,700) and the second-highest number of available health clubs at 3,285, both of which contribute substantially to this state’s overall score of 48.1 out of 100.
And the good news for Texas doesn’t stop there, with the state also clocking in with the third-highest number of spas (3,312), and the fourth-highest number of psychologists at 4,240.
Still, there is a reason Texas was unable to make it into one of their top three slots, with noise pollution being a big concern; Texas scored 3.63% in this area, which while better than California and New York, is not ideal.
However you choose to practice self care, it's good to know that Texas understands who important it is to our everyday lives!
