What New Mexico Can Expect this Winter
The Old Farmer's Almanac has just released their forecast for what we can expect this winter in the Land of Enchantment.
So what can New Mexico expect this winter? According to the Almanac, things are looking very different this year all across the board.
New Mexico, which is considered the southwest region that includes Arizona and Las Vegas (even El Paso, Texas!), can expect colder temperatures than normal throughout the winter, with a few monthly variations. January is 3°F above average and March is 3°F below average. The coldest periods will be in mid-November, mid- to late December, and early February.
And I think the question on everyone's mind: will there be snow? Of course! Expect above-average rainfall. Snowfall will be above normal in areas that normally receive snow, with the snowiest periods in mid-December and early February. So we can expect a classic white Christmas.
The Old Farmer's Almanac is a long-running annual publication that provides weather predictions, astronomical data, gardening tips, and various household advice. The Almanac is famous for its weather forecasts, which are based on a combination of historical data, solar activity, and meteorological patterns. In addition to its weather predictions, it includes information on best planting dates, seasonal recipes, folklore, and tide tables.
The Old Farmer's Almanac is also known for its charming mix of wisdom, humor, and practical tips for farmers, gardeners, and everyday people looking for guidance on outdoor and home activities.
It looks like this winter is the perfect time to stay in and get cozy because things are going to get chilly!
