El Paso Needs a Bob’s Burgers Restaurant & There’s a Perfect Spot
In the last decade, one of the most popular tv shows has to be Bob's Burgers from FOX TV. Millions of fans have shown their appreciation for the show by coming up with their own recipes for burgers, fan art or in some cases, ACTUAL restaurants themed after the show. And I think El Paso should get into craze & open it's own Bob's Burgers spot. And we know the best spot to open one up too.
Where can you find REAL Bob's Burgers restaurants?
One in particular is located in Mesa, Arizona called Jim Bob's Burgers. In addition to having their employees dress like characters from the show (Linda, Louise, Tina, Gene & Bob), they also have pop up events for Bob Burger's, where they have fans cosplay & they dress the building up like the restaurant in the show.
Of course other places to mention are Just Like You, the California place that INSPIRED the show, as well as others in Los Angeles & New York City.
Where would one open in El Paso?
After thinking about it, there's many different areas you can open one up; you can open up in Downtown (to keep with the theme of a small place) or on the East side. But after really thinking about it... it has to be Mesa. Mesa STREET that is. The spot right where the old Weinerschitnzel used to be.
Why is Mesa Street the best place for a Bob's Burgers Restaurant?
There's a couple of reasons:
- Mesa Street is on the busiest streets in El Paso; with dozens of cars driving on it everyday.
- At the spot of the old Weinerschitnzel, it's across from Kinley's, Pet's Barn & Starbucks (then you consider who close it is to the businesses on Cincinnati Street) so you know there's a lot of business in that area. It's also down the street from people who like going to Rubik's or The Mad Hatter.
- Being so close to UTEP, you can take advantage of the amount of college students who want somewhere to go on the weekends.
- It's not too big but not too small for a pop-up restaurant that you can have some really creative show-inspired burger recipes.
Now there might be other spots, or prime locations for the picking, but the fact that Mesa ARIZONA has a place inspired by Bob's Burgers... I think it'll fitting for Mesa STREET in El Paso to have one too.
