GROSS: This Beach In Texas Contains The Most “POOP” In The State
As the summer begins to end here in Texas, individuals are beginning to plan their last road trip, family vacation, and even mental health break before school starts back at the beaches here in the great state.
A TEXAS VACATION COULD BE A LOAD OF CRAP "LITERALLY"
Sand between your toes with a nice drink or even with family time is something ideal for vacation, but according to Texas Monthly, that idea can be full of crap at some beaches in Texas literally. Human waste and other forms of fecal matter have been found on certain beaches here in the great state. In 2022 over 60 different beaches in Texas were tested to see the amount of fecal matter bacteria in beaches in the state.
THIS BEACH HAS THE MOST FECAL MATTER IS THE STATE GROSS!
Environment Texas a nonprofit located in Austin Texas reported that 90% of fecal matter was found when tested on Texas beaches for only one day. ColePark which is along the Texas coastline is located in Nueces County and has the highest percentage of fecal matter levels found on more than half of the days it was tested. Impervious surfaces, rapid development, and outdated sewer systems are some of the reasons that the water has so much pollution. We all want to make sure that we enjoy our summer vacation but keep in mind, it could be full of crap "literally". Enjoy the remainder of your summer, in Texas, but avoid certain beaches at all costs.
