Austin Police Department Identifies Individual Fatally Shot at Apartment Complex
According to KXAN on Thursday, the Austin police department identified the man who was killed on Monday during a shootout in an apartment complex. At 2:08 officers were sent to Waterloo Flat Apartment Complex, which is located at 1300 South Pleasant Rd. An individual called and reported that he was recently attacked out of nowhere by someone.
WHO DID THE POLICE IDENTIFY?
Unfortunately, when the Austin Police Department arrived at the scene, there was 39-year-old Adrian Lopez on the ground of the parking lot with gunshot wounds and according to the police, he later died.
WILL THERE BE ANY CHARGES FILED?
The Police Department stated that there was an investigation that showed Lopez allegedly assaulted by one of his employees out of the blue and threatened him with pepper spray, which ultimately led to the employee shooting the individual who attacked him. There are no charges currently being filed according to the police however, the case itself is still under investigation. This will make Austin‘s 42nd homicide of the year.
