One of the most wanted men in the United States is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the State of Texas. Jose Fernando Bustos-Diaz is one of the Marshal's 15 Most Wanted Fugitives in America and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Bustos-Diaz is a convicted murderer who escaped from a Texas prison in 2010.

In 2005, Bustos-Diaz pled guilty to the murder of a woman whose body was found beaten and stabbed multiple times. U.S. Marshals say that he was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

On April 6 2010, Bustos-Diaz escaped from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Dolph Brisco Unit. He and another prisoner escaped through a hole in the fence. Octavio Ramos-Lopez who escaped with Bustos-Diaz was arrested eventually in Reynosa, Mexico according to a press release from the U.S. Marshals.

 U.S. Marshal's Offering a Reward Up To $25,000 For Bustos-Diaz

Authorities believe it's possible that Bustos-Diaz could still be in Mexico or is getting support from family in Mexico. He is 5'8 white/Hispanic weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. According to a press release, "His unique physical characteristics include facial acne scars and tattoos of a heart with a cross on his left hand, and the name "Vanessa" on the inside of his left wrist and the name "Lizeth" on the inside of his right wrist".

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for the U.S. Marshals for any information that leads to his arrest. Those who have any tips can call 1-877-WANTED 2 or online at USMS Tips.
