Did you know there are some of us who really love going to jury duty in Amarillo?I know it may seem unusual, but I am one of them. I love the inner workings of the justice system. I love hearing all of the details of a case.

I suppose it's fortunate that I live in Potter County, as I get called frequently. I have been selected to be on several juries, and as luck would have it most of the time I would be chosen to be the foreperson, shocking I know.

There was one case where I talked my way onto the jury. It was a murder trial, and I really wanted to be a part of it. I was just the alternate, but I got to hear all of the details. My inner fan of Investigation Discovery Channel was thrilled.

How did I talk myself onto the jury? The judge saw my questionnaire and knew I was in radio, and called me out and asked where I worked and what I did for a living. He then made sure to remind me that I couldn't talk about this case on the radio here in Amarillo. That's when I challenged him, saying that if I were on the jury, I couldn't discuss it on the radio. So he did.

So if you like being on a jury and finding out case details. If you'd like to learn more about the justice system. If you would like to make some extra money, here is a great opportunity for you.
