Results from a recent study just dropped a bombshell for Texas, dubbing it the absolute worst state to live in America.

TOUGH LIFE FOR TEXANS

According to a recent CNBC study, it's not all boot-scootin' big smiles in the Lone Star state. Healthcare is scarce, and money problems are hitting hard, making life tough for many Texans every single day.

The study revealed that Texas is at the bottom of the barrel for quality of life.  Despite a recent population increase of 473,453, Texas has serious issues that affect how people live there every day.

LACK OF HEALTHCARE CAUSING MAJOR ISSUES

The study found that Texas has fewer doctors and nurses per person compared to other states. This means it's harder for people to get medical help when they need it.

Many Texans also don't have health insurance, which makes paying for medical care a big problem. About 1 in 5 people in Texas have medical bills they can't pay, which shows how hard it is for some to afford healthcare.

LOW TAXES BUT LACK OF UNEMPLOYMENT

On the economic side, even though Texas has low taxes and is good for businesses, it doesn't offer much help to workers who lose their jobs. The study says unemployment benefits in Texas cover only a tiny portion of what people need to live on, which makes it tough for those without work.

OLDER TEXAS REAP THE BENEFITS

Despite these findings, not everyone in Texas is struggling. Across the country, Americans over the age of 55, hold 70% of all household wealth. This creates a big gap between generations, where younger folks struggle more while older, wealthier people have an easier time.
