I know what you might be thinking: what the heck is a suspension artist?!

A body suspension artist is someone who has modified their body so that they could suspended from large-gauge hooks that are carefully placed through temporary body piercings created immediately before the act of suspension. It sounds insane, and it looks crazier!

If you think this is some type of new age crap, you would be wrong. Body suspension is a tradition that dates back thousands of years and that was historically strictly performed for sacred, ritualistic purposes.

These days, with social media, you can easily search for suspension artists and come up with thousands of results, which is exactly what I did. If you're wondering why I was even searching for that, well it's the result of a CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode that haunted me!

What I found was far more interesting. El Paso has its very own suspension artist!

Her name is Lindsey TrashMaster and she's not only a suspension artist, she's also a professional piercer and a successful Twitch streamer.

Lindsey recently performed at the Star City Tattoo & Arts Fest at the Convention Center and left lots of people in awe!

Lindsey called this one her  "most rewarding suspension". It was hard for her, but she somehow makes it look so easy!

With a smile on her face, it's hard to imagine if she's in pain!
