The TouchCity 3-D Wall is a multimedia installation consisting of four (4) multi-touch plasma screens with a total span of approximately 36 feet and will have the capability to store thousands of historic digital images provided by individuals and surrounding communities.

The Wall will be using the most advanced technology and will inform, connect, and engage both El Pasoan’s and visitors.

This Digital Wall will be the second in the world, the first one is in Copenhagen, Denmark, but El Paso’s Digital Wall will be bigger and the only one if it’s kind in the United States!

The El Paso Museum of History will be improving its facilities with an interactive TouchCity 3-D digital wall built onto the exterior of the museum into a welcome pavilion. The wall will become an integral visitor component to the El Paso Museum of History, centrally located in downtown El Paso’s Cultural District.

The wall will be opening in December 2014 but before then, the El Paso Museum of History is actively seeking a name for its TouchCity 3-D Wall.

Everybody is invited to participate, the name should be catchy, simple, easy to remember, and it should reflect El Paso’s region culture. Send in your suggestions to Marilu Valenzuela Aleman or call 915-351-3588.

You can watch the video below to get a better idea of what this Digital Wall is about, it’s really such a special honor and unique addition to our Sun City!
