I gotta tell you, I'm really sorry to see Payless Shoe stores close. I used to buy their shoes all the time. They had the best sandals for summer that you could wear the hell out of and because they were so inexpensive, it wasn't a big deal to buy a bunch of shoes each season.

Unfortunately, Payless is closing all of their stores, and if you are holding a gift card, you need to use it pretty quick. From the Payless Customer Service website:

"We would like to express our deep gratitude for your loyalty and your business over the past 62 years. Despite our best efforts to address the rapidly changing retail environment, we have made the difficult decision to close our stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and have wound down our e-commerce site. We invite you to visit your local stores that are conducting liquidation sales that will continue until at least March. Again, our sincere gratitude goes out to our customers for their support over the years."

If you have any active Payless Shoes gift cards, you will have to use them by Monday, March 11. On Tuesday March 12, all gift cards will become inactive and you won't be able to use them anymore.

The same thing is true if you have active merchandise credit. You will have to use active merchandise credit by Monday, March 11. On Tuesday, March 12, you will not be able to redeem any remaining merchandise credit.

You can get more information by calling 1-877-474-6379.

Sorry to see you go, Payless.
