You Can Get Fit Doing Yoga While Petting Goats In El Paso

Do you remember a couple of years ago, where goat yoga became a phenomenon throughout the United States? You know. It's yoga....with goats. Ok well it's a little more than that. Essentially it's combing the activity of doing yoga with the benefit of being a petting zoo.

It's been around 2017 but it became a big deal in the US. How big? A big enough deal that back on February 23rd, 2019, Mesa Arizona set the world record for largest goat yoga class with over 350 people & 84 goats. A record that would be recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records.

It was a record that would last a WHOLE....7 months as a class of over 500 people broke the record in September 14th, 2019 in Thonotosassa, Florida.

There are a few goat yoga clubs in the state of Texas (some still active today) & in fact we actually DID have an El Paso Goat Yoga club that was quite active years ago. They hosted quite a few events & even managed to get interviewed on KTAL-LP 101.5 FM in Las Cruces.

The group hasn't been active since 2018 so there has been a shortage of goat yoga. This is until recently where ANOTHER goat yoga club opened up this month that's simply called El Paso Goat Yoga, located in Santa Teresa, NM. They do have classes open but they're only available through phone appointment which you can find on their website or on their Facebook.

Will we see more goat yoga clubs in El Paso? Well if Houston, one of the biggest cities in Texas has gotten back into the goat yoga craze, it's possible that El Paso will too.
