What’s Good For Eastside El Paso Restaurants?

As a broke college student, I'm looking for advice on places to go out to eat on the weekend. I also live in the Lower Valley and gas is not cheap so I want to stick to the east side. New or old, what restaurants are your favorite? Please no more Chico's Tacos.

I want to be able to sit down and have a great meal with my fellow broke college students that isn't fast food. New restaurants have opened up like Chipotle and Mama Fu's but I'm not sure if I should try them. I love Cheddar's, BJ's and El Nopal but want something different. What's your favorite?
