Florida Car Wash Views 35 Autistic Employees as ‘Key Advantages’ in Success
This story will make you smile and restore your faith in humanity. This dad gets our Father of the Year award! Kudos to John, a father to a 24-year-old autistic son.
John decided to create a job for his son who belongs to a community of autistic stats that more than 90% of do not gain employment after school.
Autistic individuals normally graduate school at about the age of 22 and after that they have what is called a "fall out rate". This is when they get lost in society and gain no employment because of their disability.
John changed that statistic with Rising Tide Car wash in Florida. The car wash employs 43 people and 35 of them are autistic. This video is simply amazing at what this family has done for each other. More businesses like this need to exist. It gives individuals with a disadvantage an advantage for a change.
