Western Playland Opens This Weekend

One of the sure signs of spring's eminent arrival happens this weekend.

Western Playland will be cranking up all the rides you know and love like El Bandido and the Tsunami beginning this Saturday, February 23. The homegrown amusement park announced on it's website the new season starts at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

After this weekend, the park will be open every Saturday and Sunday only through mid-June with the following exceptions: Spring Break week (March 19), Good Friday (April 19), and Memorial Day (May 27). Then, beginning June 12, it will open Wednesday through Sunday.

Western Playland features more than 25 rides and attractions, including 2 roller coasters, a water ride, and an assortment of kid-friendly rides. It's located at 249 Futurity Drive in Sunland Park, New Mexico.
