Western Playland Announces Opening Date

It's one of the sure signs springtime in El Paso is right around the corner: Western Playland is getting ready to open for the season.

Better start eating your broccoli, kids. Yuck!

The homegrown amusement park announced on it's website it will be cranking up all the rides you know and love like El Bandido and the Tsunami beginning Saturday, February 22, 2020.

The park will be open every Saturday and Sunday only through mid-June with the following exceptions: Spring Break week (March 17-22), Good Friday (April 10), and Memorial Day (May 25).

Beginning June 10, it will open Wednesday through Sunday.

Western Playland features more than 25 rides and attractions, including 2 roller coasters, a water ride, and an assortment of kid-friendly rides. It's located at 249 Futurity Drive in Sunland Park, New Mexico.
