The Sun Bowl Association held a room door decorating contest this year, and for the first time ever, a classroom won the chance at tickets to the game.

A Western Hills Elementary School kindergarten class won the A’DOOR’N The Schools door decorating contest. The student's teachers, Ms. Delgado and Ms. Garcia, helped their students decorate their classroom door and now the class will be getting tickets to the 84th Annual Hyundai Sun Bowl, as well as get a hot dog and beverage during the game.

Sun Bowl officials said they were excited to hold the contest and look forward to the students from Western Hills Elementary being at the game. There was a error in getting accurate votes tallied in the contest, so the Sun Bowl Association had to vote on the doors to choose the winner.

Members of the Sun Bowl Association staff, the Sun Bowl Association Board members and members of various Sun Bowl committees voted to choose the inaugural winner. The tickets will be presented to the class on Monday, December 11, and the game is set for a 1 p.m. kick-off at Sun Bowl Stadium on Friday, December 29.
