Welcome Home El Paso Vietnam Veteran Parade Taking Place This Weekend

The El Paso and surrounding community is invited to celebrate the welcome of El Paso Vietnam Veterans on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

The Welcome Home El Paso Vietnam Veterans Parade will begin with a festive parade in downtown El Paso beginning at 10:00 a.m. The parade will start at N. Florence and Myrtle and end up at the San Jacinto Plaza.

The Welcome Home El Paso Vietnam Veterans Ceremony and Dinner will begin soon after the parade at the El Paso County Coliseum at 4100 E. Paisano Dr. and it’s free for all Vietnam Veterans and a guest. Doors for the ceremony and dinner will open at noon with a social hour reception and mariachi music.  Form 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the ceremony will begin with an official welcome home “pinning ceremony”.  After the ceremony and dinner everyone is encouraged to stay and enjoy a free concert and dance. • Every Vietnam Veteran will receive 2 free tickets, additional tickets may be purchased for $20 adults and $15 under 12 yrs.
