Watch Two NSYNC Members Sing Backstreet Boys Karaoke on a Cruise Ship
Lance Bass has been sailing the high seas this week on his specially curated "Dirty Pop at Sea" cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. During karaoke night, the host treated his audience to a special performance of sorts, inviting a famous guest (and fellow N*SYNCer) onstage for a duet of one of the late '90s/early millennium's biggest boy band hits.
No, not "Bye Bye Bye." Nah, not "It's Gonna Be Me," either. Guess again!
As can you see in the video above, it was not an N*SYNC smash that Bass and his guest, Joey Fatone, teamed up onstage to croon during a cheesy karaoke set, but instead "I Want It That Way," the 1999 bubblegum pop hit from the group's fellow boy band and arch-nemesis — the Backstreet Boys.
And while the semi-out of tune performance certainly wouldn't impress any TV music competition judges, the two singers definitely had fun with it. As far as prospects go for another N*SYNC-Backstreet Boys karaoke cover in our future? "I still wanna [sing] 'Everybody,'" Bass quipped before exiting the stage.
