Following several failed launch attempts due to mechanical difficulties, the Space Shuttle Endeavor blasted off on it's final mission this morning under the command of Mark Kelly, the husband of Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The wounded congresswoman watched the launch in private from Kennedy Space Center.

This will be the second-to-last shuttle launch ever, with the June 28 liftoff of Atlantis marking the official retirement of program.
